Based in Bristol, UK, Elly Deakin is a travel, lifestyle, and interiors photographer with a love for natural light, retro-cinematic tones, and capturing real, honest moments.
Her relationship with photography began early - she’s had a camera in her hands since she was 14. What started as a hobby gradually became something she couldn’t imagine life without, eventually leading her to pursue photography full-time in 2025.
Before stepping into photography professionally, Elly studied Interior Architecture in Brighton and spent ten years working as a commercial interior designer. That background continues to shape the way she sees the world, giving her a strong appreciation for natural light, colour, and the small details that define different spaces. Over time, she realised her real interest wasn’t only in designing interiors, but in documenting the people who bring them to life.
Today, her main work focuses on weddings, with an emphasis on natural, story-led imagery. She is drawn to the in-between moments - the shift of light across a room, a subtle expression, or the atmosphere of a space as it naturally unfolds. Whether photographing a wedding day, a new city, or a beautiful interior, she looks for the details that often go unnoticed. For Elly, photography is about more than how a moment looks - it’s about how it felt to be there. Her aim is always to create honest, timeless images that tell a story and help people hold onto the moments for years to come.
