John Slivka is a lifelong Chicago area resident. He was introduced to and dazzled by the darkroom and the art of composition in his high school and college photography classes. These days, he continues his study of composition while exploring the wonders of digital photography. As a photographer, musician/songwriter, docent and volunteer, he combines his passions into his art and daily life. His work as a commercial real estate professional and architecture docent has helped him get to know Chicago intimately. His love for Chicago often appears in his photographs and songs.
