Thomas Milton is a freelance communications professional and self-taught photographer with Brazilian and English heritage, currently based in the Netherlands.
He’s not specialized in a single style, instead, he adapts to each location and works with what's available while traveling. His photography spans to street, urban, aerial, architecture, and landscape genres, with a particular passion and technical expertise for night street photography.
He founded Alt Spots Photography, focused on travel photography, documenting less well-known spots, and sometimes famous spots but with an alternative point of view. Alt Spots is about capturing the essence of off-the-beaten-path locations, nature, cities, showcasing the diversity of places and people, and translating images into storytelling and prints.
What moves his photography is the journey, from planning, research, equipment selection, and traveling, then photographing at planned and unplanned spots, and embracing the unexpected photography results. For Thomas, at the end of the journey, nothing compares to the satisfaction of holding his work as a large-format physical print.
