Travis Monson is a street photographer who focuses on the unique architecture, neighborhood history, and vibrant colors of San Francisco. He captures the full spectrum of the city, from sweeping views of its rolling hills and the bay to the smallest architectural details and everyday moments happening on the streets. His work has been featured in The San Francisco Standard and PRINT Magazine.
His photography is built on a methodical exploration of San Francisco. He spent years walking every public street, trail, and staircase in the city, tracking his progress by hand on a paper map. Nearly a decade later, he is re-walking the entire city. On this second pass, he is slowing down to document San Francisco's evolving landscape, focusing on the finer details and building a deeper connection with each neighborhood and its people.
