Parisian by birth, I worked for 30 years in the field of live entertainment, which inspired me a lot and still inspires me. I like to tirelessly wander the streets of the French capital with a discreet camera in hand. I linger, watch, observe with a particular preference for the nocturnal atmospheres which give rise everywhere to shadows and artificial lights which show or hide, giving to the streets and its passers-by a timeless and theatrical mystery. No wonder my references are called Brassaï, Viavian Maier, Cartier Bresson, Moriyama or Saul Leiter.
Christian's work is published in Trope Paris, the sixth volume in the Trope City Editions series, that celebrates the architecture and urban landscapes of France's capital city and a global center for art, fashion, gastronomy and culture.
