The Trope team was pleased to celebrate the launch of photographer Ryland Hormel's new book, When Do You Feel Free?,with a talk, book signing, and gallery show on July 26th.
The exhibit featured some of Ryland's favorite handwritten responses from the book, alongside photographs of those who shared them. In addition, guests were able to join the collective conversation by filling out their own notecards and adding them to the exhibit wall as an extension of this thought-provoking project.
Michelle Fitzgerald, Trope’s Director of Marketing and Operations, welcomed guests and introduced Ryland and his guest speaker, David Rojas, Jr., who held an engaging conversation about the inspiration behind the book and its connection to the non-profit, TA98.
Following the talk, Ryland graciously signed books and mingled with attendees over music and beverages.
We were excited to share When Do You Feel Free? with such a passionate audience and look forward to sharing more of Trope artists’ works in future exhibits.
